« 3D Compton tomography » the oral talk of Damavan Imaging at 2022 IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium

Damavan Imaging is glad to share the presentation « 3D Compton tomography from sparse views of a nuclear waste drum: Possible implication for legacy waste analysis » presented  at the 2022 IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium, Medical Imaging Conferance and Room Temperature Semiconductor Detector Conference in Milano, Italy from November 5th to November 12th.  Please consult the presentation below:

Damavan Imaging attended the EAFORM 2022 in South Korea

Damavan Imaging attended the 7th East Asia Forum on Radwaste Management organised by the Korean Radioactive Waste Society (KRS) from 26 to 28 October 2022 in Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Convention Center, South Korea.  That was a great chance to exchange with our welcoming partner RMTEC and other participants on the latest industry issues and to test our products. Damavan Imaging could demonstrate resolved image of 137Cs […]

Damavan will present at the 2022 IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium in Milan

Damavan will present an oral and poster presentation at the 2022 IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium, Medical Imaging Conferance and Room Temperature Semiconductor Detector Conference. The conferance will take place at the Milano Convention Centre, Milano, Italy, from November 5th to November 12th.  The poster title is: »3D Compton tomography: A promising modality for vectorized α/β radiotherapy imaging?« . The poster will be presented in the M-04, MIC […]

Imaging of heavily shielded sources

With our Compton Camera, thanks to it’s high spatial resolution and good signal/noise ratio, it is possible to image heavily shielded sources. In this case we are observing a high activity (1GBq) ¹³⁷Cs source used for level gauging. The source is shielded by 20 cm of lead. In 10 minutes using the 80 photons on a total 20.000 selected on the ¹³⁷Cs peak (662 +/- […]

Wall contamination mapping using a binocular camera

The binocular camera with its dual head configuration allows to estimate the true distance to a radiative source using gamma emission triangulation. This opens the way to quantitative imaging of contamination. A first trial has been done in a decommissioned power plant. The maximum activity on the wall was 0,2uSV/h (red spot). The gamma FOV (76°) is slightly smaller than the optical image (90×90). The […]
